Dr. Noel Sint strives to give you healthy, customized results in a caring, fun and professional environment. He knows what a big step orthodontic treatment is for you, and he and his team will make the time you spend with them as rewarding as possible.
At your complimentary new patient orthodontic exam, you can expect to meet Dr. Sint and his team. His staff will give you a tour of the office, begin taking orthodontic records (such as clinical photos and x-rays, as needed) at no charge, and then listen to your concerns. Dr. Sint will complete a thorough exam and then discuss whether or not you could benefit from Orthodontic treatment and when would be the best time to start.
After your first complimentary exam, the Orthodontic Records appointment will be completed (which includes impressions to fabricate study models of the teeth. If you would like to complete the Orthodontic Records the same day as your initial exam to reduce time away from work and school, Dr. Sint and his team will make every effort to try to get this done for you at the same visit.
Case Presentation / Consultation
After all the records have been completed and evaluated, Dr. Sint will discuss the best treatment options and appropriate time to begin your Orthodontic treatment. After the consultation, we will schedule your first appointment, which will be when Dr. Sint places your new orthodontic appliance. This appointment generally takes about an hour, and during this time our team will be available to make sure that you are as comfortable as possible.
You can plan to visit Dr. Sint about every four to ten weeks. In order to stay on track with your treatment, it is very important that you make these appointments. The Petite Dental team will work with you to schedule convenient appointment times, so be sure to let the staff know which days and times work best for you. If you need to change an appointment time--no problem, we just ask that you give us a call to reschedule with at least 24 hours notice.
Many patients ask whether they should continue to visit their family dentist during orthodontic treatment. Dr. Sint absolutely recommends that patients continue to see their general/pediatric dentist twice a year for cleanings and checkups. If he sees that you need extra dental care, he will be happy to coordinate with your dentist to make sure that you receive the best treatment possible.
